Description
This course will focus the ways in which terrestrial ecosystems influence exchanges of carbon dioxide, water, and energy between the land surface and the atmosphere. Through a combination of lecture, discussion, and laboratory exercises we will learn about the physical and biological processes that regulate these exchanges and how they vary in space and time. Using examples from specific ecosystems we will explore how these processes are likely to respond to climatic change.
