Description
This course focuses on advanced theory, function and application of GIS; as such, it is designed to build directly upon many of the topics covered in Geographic Information Systems (GEOG245). In order to achieve an advanced level of understanding of GIS we will perform a comprehensive spatial analysis of several “field” datasets. Thinking and learning about how to both ask and answer questions using GIS will structure the entire class. The actual concepts, functions and applications that we will consider will be chosen by students along the way.
